Only 5 km from Figueirinha Ecoturismo, at the small village of Ribeira do Seissal there is a grocery store and a bakery, 6 km in the village of Campo Redondo a small cheese factory; two mini markets, one butcher and a local market – with two fresh vegetable stalls and two fresh fish stalls – can be found at the village of São Luís (12 km); in Odemira or Vila Nova de Milfontes other shops, markets and supermarkets are available

Only 2,8 km away at Monte da Estrada small village snack-bar Seara serves lunch, sandwiches, toasts and omelets; also Palmeira coffee shop, in the same village, can be an option if you ask in advance; at São Luís village (12 km direction of the sea) one can eat traditional Alentejo food at Varanda da Aldeia and at Ferrador; also for traditional food Adega do Barreirinho can be an option at Relíquias (12 km inland); at the village of São Martinho das Amoreiras (20 km inland) Nirvana is an excellent restaurant for international food; at Vila Nova de Milfontes (25 km at the seaside) we recommend Porto das Barcas, Choupana, Pátio Alentejo and Tasca do Celso
What is there to do in the region?
At Figueirinha Ecoturismo we have free bikes and two hiking and cycling trails besides the circular trail (13 km) of Nª Senhora das Neves (Rota Vicentina); inside our land there is also a baby foot table a biological swimming pool and for those who appreciate there is always activities in the bio vegetable garden; we also recommend canoeing in Mira river, riding horses next to São Luís and surf and stand-up paddle in Vila Nova de Milfontes; for hiking Rota Vicentina trails are truly amazing whether you choose the Fishermen’s trail, the Historical way and the circular routes
What to visit in the region?
Climbing Nª Senhora das Neves hill; the lagoons of Pêgo das Pias; Beatriz chocolates, the house of CACO (artisan local association), walking next to river Mira, the library and the mill, all of which you can find in Odemira; the small villages of São Martinho das Amoreiras and Santa Clara-a-Velha, as well as the dam; the beaches of Vila Nova de Milfontes, Furnas, Malhão, Almograve, Cavaleiro – the lighthouse of Cape Sardão is not to be missed – Zambujeira do Mar e Odeceixe; to the north also the beaches of the island of Pessegueiro, Porto Covo and Samoqueira
