Hygge: The Danish Happiness Formula

It is a kind of carpe diem and a word that brings together all the little pleasures. It is fashionable and apparently we do it every day. How many times have you found yourself with hot tea, a blanket and a book to read? How many times have you been drinking a glass of wine after a day of work? How many times, on a cold day, have you ever stopped where the sun shines just to warm up a little? Well, this is all hygge, according to the Danes. And apparently, we practice it every day, we just didn’t know how to group these daily moments of small pleasures. Hygge is what we feel when we forget about time, relax, forget about tomorrow’s appointments and take a few minutes for ourselves. It doesn’t matter if it’s sunny or raining, whether we’re home or not, no matter where we live or what our home looks like. We don’t even need to spend money to practice hyggeThe Book of Hygge, The Danish Art of Living Well
